Our scope was to undertake
¨ Structural design
¨ Mechanical & electrical services design & installation
¨ Site levelling
¨ Construction
For a two-storey building within the budget of this charitable organisation.
The ground floor was to house a modern laundry with fully automated industrial washing machines and included a three phase electrical installation, extra large size soakaway and full air extraction system.
All of this work had to be undertaken in a live hospital environment without disrupting normal operations or patients’ rest and recouperation.
The first floor housed a 180 m2 flexible space lecture hall
This was a logistically challenging and deliveries of material and water to site had to be planned and coordinated carefully with hospital staff
